Terms and Conditions for Prize Money – DecibellDash: Run for Hearing

By participating in DecibellDash: Run for Hearing, all participants agree to the following terms and conditions regarding prize money eligibility and disbursement:

1. Eligibility
   Prize money is open to all registered participants who meet the event’s category requirements (e.g., 5K Fun Run, 10K Challenge).
   Participants must complete the race within the designated time limits to qualify for prize money.
   Employees or direct affiliates of the organizing committees are not eligible to receive prize money, unless explicitly permitted in writing
2. Registration Requirements
   Participants must complete the registration process and pay any applicable fees before the specified deadline.
   Valid identification must be presented during the race kit collection to confirm eligibility.
3. Prize Categories
   Prize money will be awarded to the top finishers in each specified race category (e.g., Top 3 Male and Female Finishers in the 10K Challenge and 5K Fun Run).
   Special awards, such as “Best Dressed Participant” or “Inspirational Runner,” are subject to the organizer’s discretion
4. Disqualification
   Participants found to have violated race rules or engaged in unfair practices (e.g., using shortcuts or proxy runners) will be disqualified.
   Disqualification will result in the forfeiture of any prize money, awards, or recognition
5. Prize Distribution
   Prize money will be distributed within 30 days of the event, subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with race rules.
   Winners must provide valid bank account details for prize money transfers.
   Taxes, if applicable, will be deducted as per government regulations.
6. Claims and Verification
   Winners must present a valid photo ID and race bib to claim their prize.
   The organizers reserve the right to verify the identity and eligibility of winners before disbursing prize money.
7. Modifications and Cancellations
   The organizers reserve the right to modify or cancel prize categories without prior notice in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
   If the event is canceled due to force majeure, prize money will not be awarded
8. Publicity and Promotion
   By accepting prize money, winners agree to allow the organizers to use their names, photos, and race details for promotional purposes.
   Winners may be required to participate in post-event publicity activities at no additional compensation
9. Liability
   The organizers are not responsible for any errors or omissions related to prize money announcements or disbursement.
   Participants agree to indemnify the organizers from any claims arising out of their participation or prize eligibility
10. Disputes
    Any disputes regarding prize money eligibility or distribution must be submitted in writing within 7 days of the event.
    The decision of the organizing committee will be final and binding in all matters related to prize money.
